Short version: within 14 days, before you've taken paid value (a paid download, or using AI more than once), and only once ever. The detail matters here, so it's worth two minutes.
The refund policy is the binding document. This article explains it in plain language — where they disagree, the policy is right.
What can be refunded
- A pass — a one-time purchase.
- The first period of a subscription — your initial charge on a new subscription.
Renewals are never refundable. Canceling stops future charges; it doesn't refund one that already happened. See change or cancel your plan.
The four conditions
For an eligible purchase, a full refund requires all four to be true:
- Within 14 days of the purchase.
- Not consumed. No paid download, and AI used at most once. Empty or template downloads, copy-paste, and a plain resume PDF on a free template don't count.
- Light AI use. One AI action is allowed. A second AI action consumes the purchase.
- No prior refund, ever. Refunds are limited to one per person, for life.
If all four hold, you get the full amount back. If any one doesn't, the purchase isn't eligible under these conditions — though the statutory right below may still apply.
The one that catches people out
A paid download, or using AI more than once, voids your refund eligibility.
A paid download is a cover letter PDF, a combined PDF, or a resume PDF on a premium template. That is the paid value. Same for a second AI action (one is allowed).
A plain resume PDF on a free template does not count. Empty or template downloads don't count. Copy-pasting text out of the editor doesn't void it either.
So if you've bought and you're not sure you want to keep it, decide before you take a paid download or use AI a second time.
"One per person, for life" means per person
Not per account, and not per card. We check using information we already hold — your account email and the card fingerprint our payment provider gives us — so we don't have to collect anything new from you.
A new account doesn't reset it. A different card doesn't reset it.
If you're in the EU or UK
You have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services, and it sits on top of everything above. We check it first.
At checkout you consent to us starting immediately and acknowledge the right ends once the service has been fully consumed, where "consumed" means the same thing everywhere: a paid download (a cover letter or combined PDF, or a resume on a premium template), or using AI more than once. Empty or template downloads and copy-paste don't count. A plain resume PDF on a free template never counts.
What that means:
- Within 14 days and nothing consumed — your refund is unconditional. The four conditions above, including the one-per-lifetime limit, do not apply and can't be used to refuse you.
- Once consumed — the statutory right has ended, and any refund goes back to the standard conditions.
How to ask
Through the contact form, choosing Request a refund.
We don't publish a support or refund email address — the form routes to a tracked queue so your request is logged rather than lost in an inbox. Request from the account you bought with, or give us enough detail to find the purchase.
After approval
- Refunded to your original payment method.
- Processed in 5–10 business days. Your bank may take longer to show it.
- Your account moves back to the free plan: Premium features off, any subscription canceled.
- Your resumes are kept. You keep one editable, and the rest become locked previews. Nothing is deleted. See the one-resume rule.
If you're outside the conditions
Ask anyway if something genuinely went wrong. The conditions above are what guarantees a refund; they're not a rule against ever hearing from you. Explain what happened through the contact form.
If you just don't want to renew
That's cancellation, not a refund. You keep Premium until the end of the period you've paid for, and you're not charged again. See change or cancel your plan.
