Your card is managed from Plan & billing in Settings.
How to change it
- Open Settings.
- Go to Plan & billing.
- Use the payment method controls to add or replace your card.
Card details go straight to our payment provider — they never touch our servers, and we never see or store your full card number.
When to do it
Before a renewal, if your card is close to expiring. An annual renewal reminder email arrives ahead of the charge, which is a good prompt to check.
After a failed payment. If a renewal fails, Premium lapses. Update the card and things resume — see what happens when Premium ends for what happens in the meantime. Nothing is deleted.
When your card changes — new bank, replaced card, new expiry.
If a payment failed
- Check the card is still valid and has funds.
- Update it in Plan & billing.
- If it still fails, the block is usually at your bank — an international payment flag or a fraud hold. A quick call to them normally clears it.
Persistent trouble: contact us with roughly when it started and what your bank said. Don't send us card numbers — we can't use them and you shouldn't put them in a form.
If you're on a pass
A pass doesn't renew, so there's no card on file to keep current. See passes vs subscriptions.
Good to know
- Changing your card doesn't change your plan, your renewal date, or your price.
- Receipts come from our payment provider. See find your receipt.
- To stop being charged rather than fix the card, see change or cancel your plan.
