Use AI review

Run a review to get a score, a plain-language read of your resume, and specific suggested edits grounded in what you actually wrote.

AI review reads your resume, scores it, and hands you a short list of specific edits. It's a Premium feature.

What a run gives you

  • An overall score on a 0–100 scale, with a band word: Weak, Developing, On track, or Strong.
  • A written read — a headline and a couple of sentences saying what's working and what isn't.
  • Dimension rows: Structure, ATS Ready, and Bullet Quality for how your resume reads on its own; Keywords, Role fit, and Must-haves for how it matches the job you're targeting.
  • Keyword chips, grouped into covered and missing, with must-haves flagged.
  • Suggested edits, each showing your original line, a proposed rewrite, and why it helps. You accept or ignore each one.

How to run it

  1. Open a resume from your resumes.
  2. Add the job you're applying for, if you haven't. Without it you get the presentation half only. See adding a target job.
  3. Click the AI Review button, floating near the bottom-right of the editor.
  4. Select Run my review.
  5. Work through the suggested fixes one at a time. Refresh when you've made real changes.

Two halves, and only one costs a run

How your resume reads on its own — Structure, ATS Ready, Bullet Quality — is computed from our own rules. It needs no job description, costs nothing, and updates as you type.

How it matches the job — Keywords, Role fit, Must-haves — is the AI-backed half. It needs a target job and a run.

What it won't do

It won't invent experience for you. Every suggestion has to be grounded in something already on your resume, and when one can't be, we hold it back rather than hand you a claim you'd have to defend in an interview. See we never invent your experience.

It won't promise you an interview. It's guidance about a document, not a prediction about a reader we can't see.

On the free plan

You still get a read — a panel called Resume quality showing a band word with no number, plus plain, rule-based reasons: a role with no bullets, a missing location or profile link, no metric anywhere in the document. Free gets the diagnosis; Premium gets the specific fixes.
