Each template ships with its own fonts built in, so your PDF should use the correct typeface every time. When a font looks off, it is usually a display issue rather than a problem with the file itself.
Why fonts are usually fine
The fonts a template uses are bundled with your resume and embedded in the export. You do not need to install anything, and your PDF carries its fonts with it, so it looks the same on other people's computers.
Why a font might look wrong
- A half-loaded preview. If the editor opened before its fonts finished loading, the on-screen preview can briefly fall back to a plain system font. The exported PDF is unaffected.
- The PDF reader. Some viewers substitute or smooth fonts in their own way. The font is still embedded correctly in the file.
- Switched templates. Changing templates changes the fonts. If the look surprised you, it is the new template's typeface, not an error.
What to try
- Refresh the editor and let the preview finish loading before judging the font.
- Download a fresh PDF and open it in a different viewer, such as your web browser, to confirm.
- Check the template you have selected so the font matches what you expect.
If it still looks wrong
