Spacing and page breaks are handled automatically to keep your resume clean and readable. You mainly shape them by adjusting your content. Here is what you can control and what to expect.
How spacing works
Each template sets its own margins, gaps between sections, and line spacing so the document stays balanced. These are tuned for you, so there are no manual margin or spacing sliders. The most reliable way to change how full or airy a page looks is to add or remove content.
Controlling where pages break
The engine breaks pages automatically and tries to keep a heading with the content that follows it, so a section title will not be left stranded at the bottom of a page. To influence breaks:
- To fit more on one page, trim bullets, shorten long sentences, or remove a less important section.
- To push content to the next page, add detail to an earlier section so it fills the remaining space.
- Reorder sections so the most important ones land on the first page.
Tidying uneven whitespace
A large gap before a page break usually means the next block was too tall to fit, so it moved down whole. Shortening that block, or the one above it, often closes the gap.
What to expect
Pages are US Letter size. There is no fixed one-page limit, so a longer resume simply flows onto more pages. Edit your content and the preview updates as you go.
