You can download a copy of your account data at any time, straight from your settings. No request or waiting required.
Download your data
- Go to Settings → Data & privacy.
- Under Download my data, click Prepare my data export.
- A single
.jsonfile downloads to your device. That's your copy.
What's included
The export covers the data tied to your account: your profile, resumes, cover letters, interview prep, public page, a billing summary, and AI-usage details.
It does not include our templates, our AI prompts, or anyone else's data.
A note on the format
The file is JSON — a plain-text format that's easy for other tools to read, but not as tidy as a document on screen. Your resumes and cover letters live inside it as structured data. To get a polished PDF of a single resume instead, open it in the editor and use Export there.
If you can't sign in
The steps above need you to be logged in. If you don't have an account, or you can't get back in, you can still ask for your data through the public privacy request form. We'll verify it's you by email first, then send your copy.
Deleting or restricting your account never blocks an export — getting a copy of your own data is always your right.
