Deleting your account is permanent — but not instant. There's a 30-day grace period first, so a mistake is recoverable. Here's how it works.
How to delete your account
- Go to Settings → Data & privacy.
- Find the Delete my account card.
- Type
DELETEin the confirm box. - Enter your current password to confirm it's really you.
- Click Delete my account.
You'll be signed out right away.
What happens immediately
The moment you confirm:
- Your account is disabled and you're signed out.
- Any active billing is canceled — you won't be charged again.
The 30-day grace period
For 30 days, your data is held but inactive. During this window the deletion can still be undone. After 30 days, everything is permanently erased and can't be recovered.
If you change your mind within those 30 days, contact us to restore the account before it's wiped.
A few things to know

- Want a copy of your work first? Use Download my data in the same section before you delete.
- No account, or can't sign in? You can still ask us to delete your data through the public privacy request form.
