You can answer by speaking instead of typing. Your speech is transcribed and the session continues as normal.
How it works
Start the voice capture on a question, answer out loud, and stop when you're done. The transcript appears as your answer, and coaching runs on that.
You'll need to allow microphone access the first time. Everything you get back is text — there's no read-aloud, and no one on the other end.
Why it's worth doing
Typing lets you cheat. You edit as you go, you delete the false start, you reorder the middle, and you end up with a paragraph you would never produce out loud. Then you get to the real interview and discover you've practiced writing, not talking.
Speaking exposes the actual problems: the answer that has no ending, the story you can't set up in under two minutes, the number you can't remember, the pause where you realise you don't know what the point was.
Better to find that here. It's private, and you can go again immediately.
Getting the most from it
- Answer the whole thing before stopping. Don't restart the moment it comes out imperfectly — a real interviewer doesn't let you.
- Read the transcript afterward. Seeing your spoken answer written down is uncomfortable and extremely useful.
- Do at least one full session by voice before a real interview.
- If a question is hard, answer it aloud twice. The second one is always better, and that improvement is the whole exercise.
About the transcript
It's a transcript of speech, so it will have the hesitations and repetitions in it. That's fine — coaching is about your content and structure, not your grammar. Don't tidy it before submitting; the mess is data.
If a word comes out wrong, edit the transcript before continuing.
If it isn't working
- Check your browser has microphone permission for this site.
- Check the right input device is selected in your system settings.
- A quieter room genuinely helps.
- If it still fails, type the answer — nothing else in the session depends on voice.
