Everything you write lives in the editor. Here's how to get around it.
Open or start a resume
Go to your resumes to see everything you've built. Click any resume to open it in the editor, or use New Resume to start a fresh one.
Add and edit content
The editor is organized into sections such as Personal Information, Professional Summary, Work Experience, Education, Skills, Projects, and Certifications. You can also add Custom Sections for anything that doesn't fit the standard ones.
- Click a section title to expand it.
- Use the Add button inside a section (for example, Add Work Experience) to create a new entry.
- Fill in the fields for that entry — things like company, title, and dates.
- Inside experience, projects, and custom sections, use Add bullet point or Add item to list individual points.
- To remove an entry, open it and use its remove control.
A live preview of your resume updates as you type, so you can see exactly how it looks. Not sure what belongs where? See what goes in each section.
Saving
You don't need to hit a save button — the editor saves automatically about a second after you stop typing. The header shows Unsaved changes while you're editing and a saving indicator while it stores your work; once that clears, you're saved.
Add the job you're targeting
Each resume can carry one target job — a title, and optionally the pasted job description. It's worth the minute it takes: it's what AI review scores your match against, and what your cover letter is tailored from. See adding a target job.
Applying to a second job
Don't overwrite a resume you've already tailored. From your resumes you can duplicate it and re-target the copy, keeping the original intact. See applying to a second job for which option to pick.
Changing the look
Layout, fonts, and colors come from your template, not from per-field controls. To restyle your resume, switch its template from the templates gallery or the template menu in the editor.
